Anchors Away! Please don’t forget to mark your calendar for March 5th! The Great Mates are hosting our first Anchors Away Gala at the Bradenton Yacht Club to raise funds in support of critical local Community needs. Two very deserving causes that are very near and dear to our hearts will be recipients of our donations this year.

Turning Points, a Manatee county charity that provides help and hope for men, women and children who are at risk of homelessness or who are homeless is our selected 2016 Community Outreach recipient. www.tpmanatee.org

Also, some well-deserving, high-achieving Manatee students will receive scholarships this year again. The Dinner Gala event is our primary means for raising the funds for these two causes and we will have both a Silent and Live Auction. We’re actively seeking your help to identify generous individuals and businesses to donate items for the auctions. Do you know of anyone that can help us out or do you have an item or service you can donate for the Auction? All donations will be tax deductible. This year the Anchors Away Cruise ship is leaving port for destination unknown and we’ll vote as to where we go next year! Live music will be before dinner by local students in an Octet and T-Bone will entertain us for after dinner dancing. Pictures of cruisers will be taken and attendees are encouraged to wear casual cruise attire. So, again, mark your calendar for Anchors Away Saturday, March 5th. Contact the BYC to get your seat on the cruise. Dinner, which includes a $25 donation to our worthy causes is $75 for the entire evening's events!
